Mission Statement .

What:

Overcomer.org is dedicated to aiding high school students overcoming great challenges in their lives with an annual scholarship and charitable donations. 

There are students who go hungry at lunchtime. Some walk miles to school in freezing temperatures. Some must navigate uprooting changes in their home and personal lives. And yet, those students press on, determined to weather the storm with success on the horizon. Our goal is to amplify those students’ stories and guide them towards success with supplies donations and scholarships for education, job training, military service, and beyond.

We salute those who overcome their struggles. We want to help and inspire others to do the same. 

How:

We elevate students’ stories on our website and, with the help of generous donors, offer qualifying students a scholarship. We also provide students with coats, backpacks, and other supplies needed to succeed in school and in life. And with help from our community, we can do even more to reach students fighting on their own to beat the odds.

Why:

High school is a critical stepping stone that launches teens into the next chapter of their lives. We believe every student deserves to enter the world with the skills, resources, and confidence needed to define their own personal success.

When he was in high school, Overcomer.org founder Michael Lombardi was suddenly faced with turbulent challenges that severely impacted his life. But, rather than letting those challenges define him, Michael decided he would push through and overcome them. As a result of his perseverance, he later went on to establish Mike Lombardi & Associates – one of the most successful and well-respected Injury-Accident-Criminal law firms in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  The law firm is now Overcomer.org’s primary donor and will continue to support and give back to the community at every opportunity it is given.
